Early in 2026, RMEF committed $3 million to wildfire rehabilitation — and we need your help to go further.
Blackened winter ranges leave no forage. Burned timber leaves no cover. Water sources run dry or fouled. When growing season returns, cheatgrass and invasive weeds move in before native vegetation can take hold — turning a bad fire season into a lost generation of habitat.
Seeding burned ranges. Treating invasive weeds before they spread. Restoring aspen stands. Repairing guzzlers so wildlife have water in arid country. This is the work RMEF does after the cameras leave and the story stops making the news — and it has to start almost as soon as the ground cools.
